Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies solely to https://shop.jakew.me and covers how I collect, use, and store your personal data when you place an order or interact with the store. It does not apply to my main site at https://jakew.me. By using this site you agree to the terms of this policy.

Who I am

This site is operated by Jake Walker. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can contact me at [email protected].

What Data I Collect and Why

Orders and transactions: When you place an order I collect your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, and payment details. Payment data is processed securely by Stripe – I never see or store your full card details. This data is used to fulfil your order, communicate with you about it, and meet my legal obligations as a seller.

Account data: If you create an account on the store, I collect your name, email address, and order history. You can request deletion of you account at any time (see below).

Contact enquiries: If you contact me directly, I’ll retain that correspondence in order to respond and keep a record of any agreed actions.

Comments & reviews: When you leave a comment or review on the site, I collect the data shown in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it – the Gravatar Privacy Policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment or review is approved, your profile picture may be visible publicly alongside it.

  • woocommerce_items_in_cart – tracks whether your cart has items
  • wp_woocommerce_session_* – maintains your session across pages

Data security

I take reasonable steps to protect your data. Passwords are hashed, payment data is handled securely by Stripe and never touches my servers, and access to the store backend is restricted.

This site may contain links to third-party sites. I’m not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies directly.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the bottom.
